Section 217 of the Manual of Procedure requires that nominations of Post officers shall open in March and remain open until the Post is ready to vote. The Section goes on to say the Post elections will be held in April and officers will take office following Department’s Convention which is held in June. It is critical that your Post Election Report be completed as soon as Post elections are held in April. John Hamilton, Adjutant General, requests that you submit your reports online using the Online Membership System (OMS). By doing so, a copy of the report will be sent to the email address of the person completing the report and Department HQ’s. Please submit a copy to District as well. Even if there is no change in your officers from year to year, the election report is still required to be submitted annually. Failure to submit the report by June 1st can result in the Post’s Charter being revoked.
